Magnum bar series rolls through Olympic Way
Magnum Tonic Wine left its mark with the exhilarating ‘Jus do di Maths’ bar party series recently.
Following a successful launch in March at the 7 Kings Sports Bar & Car Wash on Elletson Road in Kingston, April 26 saw the festivities taking over Olympic Way, with four bars visited in three hours along the vibrant roadway.
The Magnum Vixens took the streets by storm, partying with members of the community and special guests from the dancehall fraternity as they made stops at Big Time Sports Bar, Chi Chi Bar, Charlie Pub and New Management Bar. Patrons danced the night away with the Magnum Vixens, grooving to the latest dancehall hits and timeless classics while the Magnum flagmen heralded the arrival of each venue’s entourage with energetic flair, amplifying the excitement of the evening.
Pavel Smith, marketing manager at J. Wray & Nephew, said Magnum aims to deepen its connection within communities where its brand enjoys significant popularity.
“Especially those that have a remarkable history of dancehall culture such as Olympic Way, which was previously dubbed the entertainment hip strip of Kingston. We’ve also taken the party series to the western end, to Westmoreland and St James over the past week,” Smith shared.
Kitana ‘Kitty’ Brown, a bartender of Big Time Sports Bar, expressed delight to be part of the bar party series, citing that “the sound bring a whole heap a vibes and bare crowd”.” As a resident of the community for many years, also shared her enthusiastic endorsement of the event’s impact on sales and the energy.
“It’s so good to see people out,” she exclaimed. Similarly, Carrian ‘Lisky’ Small, operator of Chi Chi Bar, welcomed the surge in sales and expressed a desire for similar events.
“It have a strong vibes. I wouldn’t mind if it was more frequent. We got some sales from it and the entertainment was good, I have to be thankful,” Smart remarked.
