Magnum Dancehall Week 2026 Kicks Off at Uptown Mondays

Magnum Tonic Wine proudly ushered in the return of Dancehall Week 2026 from February 22 to March 1, delivering a dynamic week of music, movement, and culture. Now in its third staging, Magnum Dancehall Week continues to cement its place as a leading celebration of Jamaica’s globally influential dancehall culture.

The opening night landed at Uptown Mondays at Savannah Plaza, setting the tone for an electrifying week. As one of Kingston’s most iconic weekly street sessions, Uptown Mondays was the perfect launchpad for a week dedicated to the raw energy and fearless pulse of dancehall.

Speaking about the brand’s role, Brandon Wallace, Brand Manager for Magnum Tonic Wine, said: “Dancehall is in our DNA, and being part of Dancehall Week for a third consecutive year lets Magnum celebrate the culture down to its core with the music, the stakeholders and the people who define it.” He added, “This year’s lineup is all about the fun, the culture, and the fearless pulse of Kingston, and we’re excited to see everyone join the celebration. We will be out and about the town with our hype crew ensuring every patron gets the full dancehall culture experience.”

The Magnum Hype Crew was in full force on opening night, executing high-energy stunts and synchronised choreography that got the crowd moving from early. Veteran dancers including Dansa Bling, Shelly Belly, and Fada Wee Pow delivered unforgettable performances, showcasing vintage moves alongside fresh choreography. Selector Colo Colo kept the energy at fever pitch with a curated mix of old-school anthems and current street favourites.

Throughout the week, Magnum—in partnership with the Dancehall Week promoters and Romeich Entertainment via Major Marketing—amplified Jamaica’s entertainment landscape through cornerstone events including Boom Sundays, Uptown Mondays, Tuesday Service, Romeich Games Night, and FriNally, all building momentum toward the powerful Sunday finale.
