Pure Fun at Magnum Dancehall Week Edition of Romeich Games Night
Midweek during Magnum Dancehall Week 2026, the energy shifted from the dance floor to the game board as Romeich Games Night took over Campbell Boulevard for an evening of pure, unfiltered fun. Organised by Romeich Entertainment via Major Marketing, the event brought together dancehall lovers and competitors alike for a night of dominoes, ludo, and friendly rivalries.
The highlight of the evening was a spirited face-off between the Magnum Hype Crew and Dancing Rebel across the game tables. What started as casual board-game banter quickly became a crowd favourite, with patrons cheering as both crews brought the same intensity they display on the dance floor to their domino slams and ludo moves.
Dave Goldson, CEO of Dancehall Week, reflected on the milestone third staging with visible pride. “As it is the third year, a milestone, I am touched by the progress we’ve observed. Every year we have a better turnout. By strategically partnering with Romeich and Major Marketing, we’ve made a difference for this staging,” Goldson shared.
Goldson credited title sponsor Magnum Tonic Wine’s involvement from inception as instrumental in the expansion, and also highlighted the involvement of Jamaica’s culture minister. “Magnum has been with us from day one. Each year the brand manager and his team come fully on board, and that kind of support matters,” he noted. “With the backing of Reggae Month and Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange helping to promote dancehall and reduce some of the stigma, we’re seeing real momentum.”
Romeich Major ensured the vibes stayed high throughout, with music selections that kept the competitive spirit alive and the crowd engaged well into the night. Games Night proved that Dancehall Week is more than just music and dance—it’s a cultural experience that brings people together in unexpected and joyful ways.
For Magnum Tonic Wine, the partnership reflects a cultural investment rather than a one-off activation. Brandon Wallace, Brand Manager, said: “Our support of Dancehall Week is not just about visibility; it’s about creating infrastructure for the culture. It’s about helping to create sustainable platforms where the dancers, artistes and promoters can build equity in their own culture. When the culture grows, everybody benefits.”
